Project Type: Support for adults and youth in the community

Tommy MacNeil, the minister of Martins Memorial, had the vision to create a facility to encourage and bless the community of Stornoway, especially those who are facing challenging circumstances in life. After sharing it with the leaders of the church, The Shed was born. Opened in 2014, The Shed became a youth and community facility based in the town of Stornoway in the Isle of Lewis.

Our Story

Through offering a wide range of services with our multi-functional facility, The Shed aims to provide a place for anyone to come and be made to feel welcomed, and leave having feeling better than when they came. Everyone faces challenging circumstances in life, but none of us have to go through them alone. The Shed is available for anyone who is looking for that extra level of support for whatever they’re going through.
